2016 : December
Winter's the time when sailor's gaze through old photograph albums and read their logs of voyages past. With my son James and his wife visiting from Canada this Christmas, I was looking back at a trip made up the River Thames to Tower Bridge in June 2013 with them aboard. Although not sea fairing folk they coped amazingly well with the two day journey from Ipswich Haven marina. Here's a photograph of James on the tiller as we dashed across the corner of sand bank riddled North Sea to get into the Thames.

2016 : September
A highlight of the summer was a weekend spent aboard the Albert Strange designed boat, Charm. Part of the motivation behind this is to foster links between The Harrison Butler Association and The Albert Strange Association. I met several delightful sailors and saw many beautiful boats, as the new photographic gallery on the 2016 page now shows.
